ABOUT ME
I was born in Ohio but grew up in Western North Carolina, tucked away in the Appalachian Mountains. I was lucky enough to have two parents, though not together, to raise me with the notion that to create, is to live with meaning.
Traveling has inspired me to take each step with mindfulness, and to create in different ways than before. Now I know that creating can be planting a seed, painting a fence, building a fire or making a cake.
I made the decision to leave America-leave my job, leave my friends, leave my family, not because I was unhappy but because I knew there was more to learn.
Without movement, without change, there can be no growth.
I managed to stay in Europe/UK for 7 months with under $3,000, and ended up going back to live for 7 more months in Scotland.
Fast forward to now and I'm living in France with my now husband, rennovating a van and feeling full and excited for what is to come.
I have worked in many kitchens now, planted in a fair amount of gardens, hitchhiked in a few countries, and made life-changing connections along the way.
Here, I will share cake recipes, natural remedies, tips on traveling cheaply, information about visas, tricks on eating healthy on a budget, along with all the emotions and experiences that come with exploration.
